Geared for a Better Future

On the morning of September 2, 2023, NGC's first employees' “Water Sports Carnival” kicked off in the natatorium of the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center. Colorful flags fluttered as more than 600 NGC Group employees and their families gathered to usher in a festival of water sports.

With the great support of the Group leadership, the event received an enthusiastic response from employees of every subsidiary, factory and department. A total of 219 employees in 25 teams participated in the morning's competitions. The session consisted of five events: men's and women's 50-meter freestyle, and three games entitled “All In the Same Boat”, “Fishing for Rice Balls” and “Working as One”. The competition was fierce and exciting, full of fun and laughter. Round after round of competition events pushed the carnival atmosphere to a climax, as participants displayed their unity and spirit, touching the heart of every audience member.

After several rounds of fierce competition, Zhou Daogen from the Huai’an Subsidiary, Su Jianyang from the High-speed Equipment Power Department and Zhang Youjun from the High-Speed Gear First Factory took the first three spots in the men's 50-meter freestyle. Zhang Xuejiao from High-Speed Technology, Li Xiaofang from the High-Speed Gear Fourth Factory, and Wang Heyuan from the High-speed Gear Administration took the first three spots in the women's 50-meter freestyle. The High-Speed Gear Third Factory, the NGC Group team and the High-accuracy Standard Gearbox Factory took the first three places in the “All In the Same Boat” game. The High-accuracy Standard Gearbox Factory, the High-speed Equipment Power Department and the High-Speed Gear Second Factory took the first three places in the “Fishing for Rice Balls” game, while the High-speed Gear Subsidiary took first spot in the “Working as One” game.

In the afternoon, the parent-child activities were also a lot of fun. The organizing committee had prepared colorful swim rings for the kids, with nearly a hundred families enjoying themselves in the pool.

NGC’s first water sports carnival was a great success. The event not only showed the spirit of our employees to fight hard to surpass themselves, but also reflected the cohesiveness and unity brought by the company's colorful corporate culture through these kinds of activities. Hopefully, NGC employees can continue to unleash their spirit of “forging ahead with teamwork” through this event, and infuse a stronger impetus into a new round of high-quality development for the company.
