Geared for a Better Future

In order to fully implement the plan outlined in the 20th National Congress of the CPC to “improve the services for elderly people living alone and allow all senior citizens to enjoy basic care”, and to effectively prevent and properly handle the safety risks faced by the elderly at home, Nanjing High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (NGC Group) has recently joined hands with Nanjing’s Qixia District and the Amity Foundation. Together they are donating a batch of winter supplies for the “Good Neighbors” program in Qixia District, hoping to show their love to the elderly living alone and showing their care to the volunteers.

On the morning of December 6, the Civil Affairs Bureau of Qixia District joined hands with enterprises such as NGC Group to hold the donation ceremony for “Bringing Care and Warmth to the Elderly” at the Guanmei Community in Xigang Sub-district. During the donation ceremony, NGC Group donated 500 thick mattresses and warm sleeping bags for the elderly and volunteers. Through this public welfare action, NGC has shown its love to elderly people living alone and shown care for the volunteers, allowing people to enjoy an easier and more comfortable retired life. The donated supplies will be properly allocated to elderly people in need.

The success of the activity not only reflects the care and attention of the government of Qixia District, but also shows the support and contribution of all quarters of society to the elderly care service industry. Through the concerted efforts of charities and society, “retired life” will become easier and more pleasant, as more elderly people will be able to fully enjoy their lives. In the future, NGC Group will continue to promote its corporate social responsibility programs and provide the elderly with more comprehensive and considerate services through more loving actions and cooperation with society. Meanwhile, we hope that more loving coworkers can join the pensioner care volunteer team and contribute their strength to the happy lives of the elderly.
